National floodlight tennis ball cricket champion trophy 2014 will be held from June 02 to June 05 in Islamabad. The decision was taken in a meeting headed by Munawar Mughal, President of the Tennis Ball Cricket Federation of Pakistan (TBCFP). The event would be held in collaboration of CDA in which sixteen teams with some players of international fame are scheduled to participate.
Speaking on the occasion, Munawar Mughal said that we would continue to work more persistently for the promotion of tennis ball cricket in the country. He said that the game is getting popular but we would like to take it to new heights by introducing our talented players at international level. Munawar Mughal said majority national cricketers were the product of tennis ball cricket and that the number of registered clubs are in thousands which showed that the sport was getting popular in Pakistan with a fast pace.
Secretary General of TBCFP Adnan Malik, Zafar Iqbal, Secretary Islamabad Tennis Ball Association, Sheikh Shahab of Rawalpindi Tennis Ball Association and others briefed the participants about the current activities and future plans of the TBCFP including visits abroad. The teams scheduled to participate in the 4-day event would include that of representing FPCCI, CDA, PTCL, ICCI, ZTBL, University of Sargodha, PakTurk, PTV, Boots, NADRA, MAG, MIA, MNH, Dunya TV, Razzaque and Co and Nawaz and Co.
