The funeral prayers of Major Yasir and Captain Murtaza were offered on Thursday. Pilot Major Yasir and co-pilot Captain Murtaza embraced martyrdom when an army helicopter crashed at Multan Airport on Wednesday. The prayers for pilot and co-pilot, Major Yasir and Captain Murtaza were offered at the Army ground near Multan Airport. The prayers were attended by Army Aviation officials.
The body of the deceased Major Yasir was sent to his ancestral town Jhang while Captain Murtaza body sent to Lahore. According to a statement the crash was a result of a technical fault, while some sources opined a dust-storm, which hit the chopper. The chopper was on a regular night training mission when the accident occurred, says ISPR Multan.
