At least three persons were killed in different incidents of violence in the city, here on Sunday. According to police and rescue sources, Tanvir son of Abdul Majid was shot and killed by unidentified men near Mochco Graveyard in Baldia town in the jurisdiction of Mochco police station. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities.
In another case, Sarwar, 55, son of Rehmat, was gunned down by unknown persons in Frontier Mor, SITE area, in the jurisdictions of SITE-A police station. The body was shifted to CHK for postmortem.
Meanwhile, police claimed to have killed Amjad Lashari, an alleged member of Lyari gangsters group, in an encounter in the jurisdictions of Meethadar police station during the early hours of Sunday.
One TT pistol and two hand grenades were recovered from his possession. Police said that the accused was involved in various cases of targeted killings, extortion, rape, kidnapping for ransom and other heinous crimes. The body was shifted to CHK for autopsy.
