Central leader PML-N Hamza Shahbaz Sharif MNA has said that a vigorous fund raising campaign has been started for assistance of IDPs. While presiding over a meeting of Chief Minister's Committee constituted for IDPs at Model Town office, Hamza said the nation was standing by IDPs in this hour of trial, as people belonging to all segments of the society had joined this campaign.
Members of the Committee Provincial Ministers Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chaudhry Muhammad Shafique, MNA Pervaiz Malik, Khawaja Ahmed Hassaan and Secretary Information Momin Ali Agha attended the meeting. Hamza told the participants that the unprecedented sacrifices of IDPs would not only guarantee the protection of geographical and ideological frontiers of the country but after the success of operation Zarb-a-Azb, every citizen of the country would get fruit of the sacrifices in the shape of peace and development.
He said practical work had been started through a comprehensive planning for effective help of IDPs. He said all segments of the society were being included in the fund-raising campaign particularly male and female students of universities and colleges will play a vanguard role in this campaign.
Hamza Shahbaz said that 4.8 million registered male and female students of Punjab Youth Festival have been made volunteers for fund raising campaign. He said that youth force would be helpful for overcoming that crisis. He said that short and medium term planning is being made for accelerating the process of help and rehabilitation of IDPs. He said that this national mission of survival of the country will be changed like a national campaign with the complete assistance of media which will be helpful for rooting out the menace of terrorism.
Moreover, Member National Assembly and PML-N Lahore President Pervez Malik, while addressing a moot of traders said that business community of Pakistan has always played significant role in every testing time. He said the business community should come forward and help their internally displaced brothers who are sacrificing for us and helping Pakistan armed forces to remove the menace of terrorism. He said that whole nation is standing with their ailing brothers and sisters in this testing time and would utilise all resources for their help. He said PML-N government is taking all possible measures to protect IDPs by providing them shelter, food, water and other necessities of life. Practical work is well on the way through a comprehensive planning for effective help of IDPs.
