In an investigation case against Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Mohammad Inam (Directors of Shafique Cable Merchant and Sami Textile, respectively) and others, involved in Modaraba scam, one of the accused Faizan Ahmed Siddiqui has been arrested on Tuesday by NAB Sindh. Faizan Siddiqui is a beneficiary in this scam and has abetted the accused Shafiq-ur-Rehman and Mohammad Inam and others. In this regard so far, Rs 1.512 billion liability against the accused persons has been established in the investigation.
The reference against the accused persons has been filed; however, further investigation to identify other beneficiaries and co-accused is still under process at NAB Sindh.-PR
