Mobilink Foundation organised Iftar and dinners for senior citizens residing at old-age homes across Pakistan. The country wide activity was organised for over 200 senior citizens by 50 Mobilink Foundation Torchbearers. Mobilink Foundation also distributed gift hampers among the residents. The hampers included new bedding, clothes and other household items for residents.
Omar Manzur Head of Corporate Communication, Mobilink said, "As a part of Mobilink Foundation's efforts to reach out to the marginalized and often forgotten social groups, we regularly extend our support to the senior citizens. We believe that the elderly are an integral part of our society and the society has much to learn from their experiences."
The Iftar-cum-dinner offered the Mobilink Torchbearers a chance to interact with the residents at these old-age Homes as they spent time caring for them. The Iftars were conducted at Aafiat Old age home (Islamabad), Bint-e-Fatima Old Home (Karachi) and Aafiat Old age home (Lahore).-PR
