Likewise, other parts of the country, the Juma-tul-Wida was observed with religious fervor and peaceful manner in Peshawar also. In order to avert any untoward incident, security beefed up in the Peshawar city, whereas extra deployment of security personnel was witnessed in Cantonment and city areas.
All major routes heading towards mosques were sealed while holding the Jumma prayer. Ulema had delivered special sermons and offered special prayer for prosperity, peace and integrity of the country. On Juma-tul-Wida, the special sermons were delivered by Imams and Ulema and offered prays for the solidarity, integrity and unity among Muslim Ummah. During the sermons they highlighted the importance of Jumma-tul-Wida and Shab-e-Qader. They stressed the need on unity and alliance among the Muslims in order to resolve all issues confronting by the Muslims Ummah of the world.
