The Jamaat-i-Islami, Karachi Chapter, in order to express solidarity with the people of Palestine has staged protest demonstrations outside the different mosques of the city. In a statement issued here on Friday, the JI workers after Friday prayers outside the mosques collected financial aid for the people of Gaza. Meanwhile, a pictorial exhibition related to the people of Palestine and barbarism of Israel on Gaza was also held at Idara-e-Noor Haq, which was inaugurated by former City Nazim Niamatullah Khan Advocate.
A large number of people belonging to different walks of life including politicians, social activities, lawyers, teachers, journalists, columnists, doctors and others attended the exhibition. A large number of women and children also participated in the pictorial exhibition and expressed their anger on the brutal bomb strikes of Israel on Palestine. On the occasion, people generously deposited funds for the people of Palestine.
Addressing the gathering, former City Nazim Niamatullah Khan Advocate said the announcement made by the federal government for financial aid of the one million dollar for the people of Gaza was not enough, adding the announcement of 'Youm-e-Soug' in Pakistan on Palestine issue was called earlier. He said a group of 'Mujahideen' to be formed to retaliate the barbarism of Israel, adding the OIC should play its due role on the issue of Palestine.
Niamatullah Khan regretted on the silence of Muslim countries rulers over the barbarism of Israel and said Palestine-like situation would form in any Muslim country in future. Speaking at the occasion, Hafiz Naeem said innocent women and children had been killed in Palestine while the "champions of human rights" keep their lipped tight over the Israeli barbarism.
