Unidentified persons on Friday threw acid on two women of a family including mother and her daughter in Satellite Town area. According to police sources, a woman named Momina 40 and her daughter Amna 18 were sitting in the lawn of their house when unknown persons threw acid on them and fled from the scene. The women were rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital where they were said to be out of danger. Both women sustained injuries to their faces, arms and backs.
The 40-year-old Momina said her daughter had tied the knot with a person named Ahmad. She added that Amna and Ahmad got divorced after domestic disputes. She accused Ahmad of carrying out the act.
