Good-to-excellent ratings for US corn, soyabeans and spring wheat were expected to be unchanged from a week ago, with mild temperatures and good soil moisture fostering crop development around the Midwest, analysts said on Monday. A Reuters poll forecast US soyabean ratings as 73 percent good to excellent as of July 27, according to the average of estimates of nine analysts. Corn ratings were seen as 76 percent good to excellent, and spring wheat ratings as 70 percent good to excellent.
If realised, it would be the best late-July ratings for soyabeans since 1994. Good-to-excellent ratings for corn would be at a 10-year high. Estimates were tightly bunched, ranging from 75 percent to 77 percent for corn, 72 percent to 74 percent for soyabeans and 69 percent to 71 percent for spring wheat.
