Minister for Labour and Human Resources and Head of Independence Celebrations Committee in Punjab Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said the colourful programmes of 68th Independence Day have been started.
"Pakistan Muslim League-N will celebrate Independence Day in a befitting manner. National flags will be hoisted at every house, floral wreaths will be laid at the graves of martyrs and it will be pledged to put the country on the road to progress and prosperity under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif." He expressed these views while addressing a meeting held in connection with Independence celebrations at Jinnah Hall on Saturday.
PML-N leaders, office-bearers, workers and notables of the areas attended the meeting. Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said Pakistan is facing internal and external threats; therefore, it cannot afford politics of protests and sit-ins. He said that all political forces should become united; and play their due role for the survival, stability and development of the country.
