At least two persons including a woman were killed here on Saturday. According to police and rescue sources, a woman named Irshad Bibi wife of Kareem Bux was shot and killed by unknown persons in Maripur, The body was shifted to Civil Hospital (CH) for medico-legal formalities. The initial findings have suggested that she might have been killed over domestic dispute, however further investigations are under way to ascertain the fact behind this crime, police said.
A 3-day old tortured body was recovered from Raidhi Goth, located in Landhi Town. It was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for post-mortem examinations. The identity of deceased was yet to be ascertained till filing of this report. Hamid Khatak son of Khan Bahadur was shot and injured by unknown persons near Metrovile bridge, he was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment.
