Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Multan staged three demonstrations in Multan city on Friday at the call of Imran Khan to press the Prime Minister to step down. A demonstration was staged near Bismillah Chowk under the leadership of Dr Khalid Khakwani and Khalid Javed Waraich. They shouted slogans "Go Nawaz Go." They also condemned the attack on the residence of Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi by PML-N workers. Another demonstration was held in front of Multan Press Club while third demonstration was held at Chowk Nawan Shehr.
Dr Akhtar Malik, Ex-MPA, Major Mujib Ahmed Khan (Retd), Mian Jamil, Sheikh Abdus Salam Arif, Javed Iqbal Arain, Dr Hafiz Mushtaq Awan, Rana Abdul Jabbar included in the demonstration. They said "We want the culture of democracy which is transparent and has a system of accountability and is free of corruption." They further said "Our struggle is for the placement of true democracy. We want devolution of powers. Power should go to the union councils, to the districts, to the Tehsils through the devolution." They said "the political parties who are with Nawaz Sharif should make a decision immediately are you with the public or are you with the thieves."
