City police on Friday claimed to have arrested around 71 alleged criminals in different targeted raids and encounters during the last 24 hours. Police said that 86 raids and four encounters were carried out as part of the ongoing Karachi operation, which led to the arrest of 71 suspected criminals. During the operations, police arrested 20 criminals under Arms Act; 11 were nabbed under Narcotics Act; 15 absconders, one dacoit, three extortionists, and some 20 others involved in criminal activities were also arrested during the action.
Police further claimed to have recovered 21 hand guns, one hand grenade, and 4,145 grams of Hashish from the possession of the criminals.
