Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Sindh observed "Youm-e-Tahafuz-e-Jamhuriat" and staged rallies across the province on Sunday for the continuity of democratic system, protection of Parliament, and to express solidarity with party leadership.
PML-N workers and supporters took out a rally led by the party's provincial leadership from Regal Chowk to Karachi Press Club.
Addressing the participants PML-N Sindh President Ismail Rahu, General Secretary Nihal Hashmi, Central Vice President Saleem Zia, and Shah Muhammad Shah said that the party workers would not allow conspiracies against democracy and Parliament, adding that they will respond in a democratic way to the inappropriate language used in the sit-ins of Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri.
They said that the parliament, democracy and state institutions would not be allowed to be sacrificed at the will of a few hundred people.
They said that they will fight every conspiracy against the party leadership with determination.
They said that those involved in conspiracies against the PML-N's democratic government would be given a befitting political response. They warned those using foul language against the PML-N leadership to mend their ways.
Addressing on the occasion Marvi Memon, MNA said that the brave leader of PML-N Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has become a symbol of democracy and he would not bow before any undemocratic demands.
