The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani awarded Mansehra and Haripur police in recognition of their timely response and bravery against the dacoits and kidnappers in a ceremony held at CPO Peshawar. As per details Mansehra police worked out two cases of dacoity by killing one notorious dacoit Saleem in an encounter and arresting others in a two separate action. In this encounter two police jawans were also got injured.
The police also recovered the booty including money, mobile sets and arms and ammunition from their possession. In another action the Mansehra police also recovered the kidnapped minor girl and arrested two accused involved in this case. Similarly the Haripur police arrested two kidnappers and recovered the abducted ones from their possession across Turbella Lake.
Addressing the ceremony the IGP informed that Hazara Region police were demonstrating excellent performance against the outlaws especially the dacoits and target killers. The police chief commended the bravery and timely action of Mansehra and Haripur police in these cases and directed them to further enhance their vigilance in the scenic valley of Hazara and ensure protection of the life and property of the general public especially from the terrorists. The IGP especially hugged the injured police jawans and paid towering tributes to their courage and bravery. The police chief also held in high esteem the performance of elite jawans and termed it role model for the rest of the elite force of the country.
The police officers and jawans awarded on this occasion included DSP HQs Zulfiqar Jadon, sub-inspector Raja Aftab Ahmad, sub-inspector Ehtesham Ali Shah, sub-inspector Muhammad Asif, Head Constable Mazhar Ali, constables Tufail, Walid, Inayat-Ur-Rehman, Aklaq Ahmad and Hafiz of Mansehra police and ASP HQs Wahid Mehmood, sub-inspector Sajjad Khan, ASI Shafiq-ur-Rehman and constables Azeem Ashraf and Arif of Haripur police.
