Activists of Muslim Students Federation (MSF), affiliated with ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, staged a protest demonstration against the ongoing 'sit-ins', being staged by workers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek in federal capital Islamabad.
The protest was headed by MSF president Musawar Shah along with dozens of students' activists from different colleges of the district Peshawar. The protesters were holding placards and banner inscribed with anti-PTI and PAT, and raised full-throated slogans in favour of upholding democracy and constitution in the country.
Talking to reporters, the protesters asked the both chiefs of PTI Imran Khan and PAT Dr Tahirul Qadri to end their illegal and unconstitutional 'sit-ins' to ease miseries of the people in federal capital Islamabad and rest part of the country. He viewed the country is being confronting with numerous issues, and let the incumbent elected democratic government to take steps for resolution of all those issues, he demanded.
Referring the statements of PTI chief Imran Khan regarding dissolution of KP assembly, the demonstrators said the people voted to power Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and it should respect the public mandate, rather to ruin by taking such immature and senseless steps. They asked the both PTI and PAT to abstain from talking about derailment of democracy in the country, and the PML-N government was elected with highly mandate of people, which is only force to steer the country out from present crisis situations.
The protesters said the Pakistan is not in position to push into further crisis situation. They urged the all political parties to get unity against the anti-democratic forces, and jointly work for safeguarding democracy and constitution of the country.
