Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak termed the safe recovery of Professor Ajmal Khan, Vice Chancellor Islamia College University Peshawar, and his coming back to home, a good omen and has congratulated him and all of his family members but the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa specially the academician circles of the province at large.
He also lauded the vibrant role of Pak-Army in respect of his successful recovery after 4 years of his kidnapping and captivity in the adjacent tribal belt. He in a message of felicitation said that people of high calibre to Professor Ajmal Khan were the invaluable and great assets of our province who carried the academic, literary, knowledge and research activities in our educational institutions to educate and prepare builders of the nation. He said that the safe recovery of Professor Ajmal Khan spread a wave of pleasure among the people of the province.
He assured that the KP police as well as all security and intelligence agencies have been strengthened, disciplined and capable enough now that kidnapping of even an ordinary citizen could not be possible in future what to think of the abduction of our litterateurs and other men of head and heart. He said that the internal and external security of the province has been improved to the extent that besides maintenance of law & order, the kidnapping and other crimes were being checked effectively and the citizens were being given a complete sense of the protection of lives, properties and honour.
