The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has issued orders for promotion of four officers, including one Deputy Director and three Assistant Directors, on the recommendations of Departmental Promotion Committee of LDA. According to a LDA spokesperson here on Saturday, Chaudhry Muhammad Akram, Deputy Director Town Planning (BS-18), working as Chief Town Planner, has been promoted to the post of Director Town Planning (BS-19), on regular basis and allowed to continue serving against his present posting.
Three Assistant Directors (General Cadre) (BS-17), including Nazir Ahmad Bhatti, Hafiz Barkat Ali and Syed Yawar Abbas, have been promoted to the posts of Deputy Director (General Cadre) (BS-18) on regular basis. They have been directed to report to the LDA Directorate of Administration for further posting. Meanwhile, LDA decided to establish a state-of-the-art daycare centre at its Johar Town office for looking after the infants and babies of working women.
With the intention of outsourcing this facility to internationally/nationally accredited certified service provider, LDA has solicited sealed written proposals from qualified child daycare providers for their selection through a competitive process in accordance with the Punjab Procurement Rules 2014 and procedure enumerated therein. The interested firms/bidders shall be required to provide services which include management and operation of the child daycare centre etc. Tenders will be opened on September 22. Only technical proposals will be opened at the first stage and the financial proposals, of only technically qualified firms, will be opened at the second stage in the presence of bidders representatives who choose to attend.
