Secretary General, Jamaat-i-Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has deplored that a solution to the current political impasse had been found out through dialogue but the situation had once again moved into a blind alley because of false ego and intransigence of the two sides.
In a statement here on Saturday, he urged both sides to see reason and act on time lest the constitution was abrogated because of their obstinacy. Liaqat Baloch said that all the political forces in the country were of the unanimous view that the crisis must find out in accordance with the constitutional. Despite that, if there was some unconstitutional move, it would be a big national tragedy. All the political forces must realise that the situation was getting complicated with every passing day as had been the case in the years 1973, 1988, 1993 and 1999.
