Former President Asif Zardari, MQM Quaid Altaf Hussain, Governor Ishratul Ebad and other leaders made telephone calls to PML Q leaders Chaudhry Shujat Hussain & Chaudhry Pervez Elahi on Sunday to inquire about their welfare after being targeted by police's intense shelling in Islamabad's Red Zone area on Saturday. The Chaudhry brothers expressed heartfelt gratitude to political leaders for making telephone calls and leaders and workers who visited their residence in large number.
Both PML leaders condemned in the strongest words worst police torture and violence on media representatives in Islamabad and said that the rulers could not suppress the voice of truth through violence on the media.
They said the days of oppression were always numbered, rulers should better come to their sense, they were torturing every Pakistani including the elders, women and children besides the journalists for saving their power which was only for few days and they could not prolong it in this manner.
