Heavy rainfall, flash flood predicted

In a significant weather forecast, the Meteorological department has said that heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places in Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Bahawalpur, Sibbi, Naseerabad divisions from Wednesday to Thursday. It further stated that heavy rainfall is expected at scattered places in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Hazara divisions and Kashmir from Wednesday to Friday. Heavy falls may generate urban and flash flooding in the vulnerable areas of Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab and Kashmir.
MET OFFICE FORECAST FOR TODAY: Fairly wide spread thundershowers with gusty winds would occur over Sindh (with isolated heavy falls over Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad & Karachi divisions), Southern Punjab (with isolated heavy falls over D. G. Khan & Bahawalpur divisions) and Kashmir(with isolated heavy falls). Scattered thundershowers with gusty winds may come about over Northern Punjab (with isolated heavy falls over Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi divisions & Islamabad), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (with isolated heavy falls over Malakand, Peshawar & Hazara divisions), FATA (with isolated moderate to heavy falls), Southern & North-eastern Balochistan (with isolated heavy falls over Kalat division) and Gilgit-Baltistan. There could be urban/localised inundation in areas of heavy downpours.
WEATHER OUTLOOK NEXT 48 HRS: Wide spread thundershowers with gusty winds would occur over Sindh (with isolated to scattered heavy to very heavy falls), Punjab (with scattered heavy falls & isolated very heavy falls over Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Rawalpindi divisions & Islamabad), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(with isolated heavy falls), FATA (with isolated heavy falls). Scattered thundershowers with gusty winds could ensue over Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan (with isolated heavy falls over Eastern parts). There could be medium to high flooding in Nallahs of Ravi & Chenab Rivers. There could be localised/urban inundation in areas of heavy to very heavy downpours. Also, there could be medium to high flooding in Nallahs of Hill Torrents of D. G. Khan, Rajanpur & their surroundings.
