Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), Pakistan's largest ICT services provider, has launched an exclusive video conferencing service 'PTCL Smart Video' for its corporate customers. PTCL Smart Video offers secure and reliable video conferencing solution that is available across any network, application or device, enabling organisations to collaborate effectively through real-time and face-to-face video calls.
9olPTCL has selected Polycom to offer the new video conferencing and content collaboration service which is powered by Polycom Real Presence One. The software based service is hosted at PTCL's state-of-the-art data center which allows users to connect with peers nation-wide and around-the-world on any standard or legacy video conferencing platforms.
The service provides organisations with highly secure Internet/MPLS based, low bandwidth HD video conferencing capability, operational through corporate boardrooms, desktops, laptops or mobile phones without any associated hardware or maintenance costs. Kamal Ahmed, Chief Digital Services Officer (CDSO) PTCL said at the occasion, "PTCL remains committed to bringing cutting edge ICT solutions for the corporate sector in Pakistan and introduction of PTCL Smart Video is another step in this direction, which will make video calling as simple as voice calls."
"The service is a cost effective solution aimed at empowering corporate businesses and SMEs to swiftly react to market opportunities and improve customer interactions while reducing Capex and improving efficiency," added Kamal Ahmed. Using PTCL Smart Video, customers can host or join meetings anytime anywhere in the world and add new users according to their requirements. Smart Video also enables conferencing participants to share presentations and converse over instant messaging with conference attendees.
