Inspector General of Sindh Police, Ghulam Haider Jamali has said that the law and order situation of Karachi has significantly improved after launching of operation against criminals and terrorists in the city. He said the city police was determined to protect precious lives of the citizens and "we continue to take indiscriminate action against criminals and terrorists on priority basis."
He was addressing at the inauguration of mobile driving license facility at Karachi Press Club here on Thursday. The Sindh Police chief also formally inaugurated the mobile driving license facility by cutting a ribbon. Additional IG Karachi Ghulam Qadir Theebo, President KPC Imtiaz Khan Faran, members KPC and media personnel were also present in large number.
He expressed pleasure that the facility of mobile driving license issuance had commenced from the KPC and said the media would convey the message about that facility to other parts of Sindh and the country. He said "we can and we will improve the law and order situation of Karachi." He also shared a brief detail about the successful action of the Karachi Police against criminals and terrorists.
Ghulam Haider Jamali said the crime of extortion had almost been eliminated from the district West-Karachi. Addressing the occasion, Ghulam Qadir Theebo said the mobile driving license facility had been started to facilitate the people to get their driving license easily. He informed that all the branches of driving license had been linked to the mobile driving license facility. The facility had been launched in Karachi, which would be extended to other parts of province of Sindh, he added. Later, the office-bearers of KPC presented Sindhi Ajrak to the IGP Sindh and Additional IG Karachi.
