The 66th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is being observed on Thursday (today) with respect and reverence. After Fajr prayers, special prayers will be offered for the eternal peace of the great leader of the Subcontinent who created a separate homeland for the Muslims. Quran Khawani will also be held across the country as well as Mazar-e-Quaid. Dignitaries and people hailing from different walks of life will visit the Mazar-e-Quaid where they will lay wreath and offer Fateha at the Mausoleum.
Different organisations have planned seminars and other gatherings to pay tributes to the Father of the Nation for his heroic struggle for an independent homeland for the Muslims. Speakers will highlight services rendered by the great leader for the cause of Pakistan. Print media will publish special supplements highlighting the achievements of the Father of the Nation for the cause of Pakistan while electronic media will also present special programmes in this regard.
In Lahore, Nazria Pakistan Trust will hold function to commemorate the Day. In the present critical situation, the befitting way to pay tributes to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is to forge unity, work hard for the progress and prosperity of the country, following the golden principles of Quaid-e-Azam to overcome the challenges confronting the country.
