A full bench of the Lahore High Court would resume hearing of petitions against Azadi and Inqilab marches and sit-ins by PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) on Friday (today). On August 13, the bench through an interim order had restrained PTI and PAT from launching their marches or dharnas in any unconstitutional way keeping in view the sanctity of the Independence Day on August 14.
The bench headed by Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan, had ruled that the demands raised by both protesting parties were unconstitutional. Lawyers' Foundation for Justice and others filed the petitions seeking a restraining order against the taking out protest marches by the PTI and PAT.
