Do you want to be reminded to pick up your shirts from the laundry when you leave the office? No problem, if you're using a mobile device with version 7 or higher of iOS. The system's location-based reminders can be called up in the Reminders app by touching a reminder entry, then touching the "i" icon which appears. This summons up a list of functions to determine whether a reminder should be triggered by a date or a location.
By picking the "location-based" option, one can decide which location will prompt a reminder and whether the reminder should come when one arrives or departs. The mobile will then keep track of the satellite navigation system to see where the user is, sounding off when a point is reached. But bear in mind if using this option that allowing the device to regularly check the map eats up a lot of battery energy.
