Model Town inquiry tribunal's report: Plea referred to LHC CJ for larger bench

Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah of the Lahore High Court has referred a petition seeking directions for publication of Inquiry Tribunal's report on Model Town incident to the chief justice for the constitution of a larger bench for its hearing.
Zubair Khan Niazi of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) had filed the petition. The petitioner said that inquiry tribunal had given its findings/report regarding the killing of innocent civilians. He said under the Constitution access to information is the fundamental right of every citizen.
He said the respondents in connivance with a political party at the helm of the affairs are not allowing this report to be released to general public which is a violation of fundamental right. He pleaded the court to allow the inquiry tribunal report to be made public.
