Awami National Party Central president Asfandyar Wali Khan asked the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan to wait till the decision of the judicial commission, instead of making any unconstitutional demands, particularly regarding resignation of Prime Minister.
"PTI chief would not become a prime minister even if he wins the four disputed constituencies in Punjab", Wali while talking to reporters at Wali Bagh in district Charsadda on Wednesday. He said: "If the commission would make decision against the prime minister, then he would not have any more constitutional right to retain the office further.
Similarly, he further added that if the election commission proved the rigging allegations, then all the four chief ministers and prime minister are morally bound to tender resignations. Wali further said that federal government should equally treat troublemakers and those who stormed state-run Pakistan Television headquarter in Islamabad and parliament house, so they must be dealt with strict action. He also come down hard over Imran Khan, abuses on to media and politicians saying that being a leader of political party, Imran Khan does suit this behaviour.
ANP chief said that the hooligans of Imran Khan also attacking police station and forcefully releasing their party workers from police custody. He said that the interior ministry should deal these people with stern action as it is their duty to provide security to government department against angry mob. "These so-called politicians will not bring change through dancing and musical parties as these people want to create uncertainty and disorder in the country, Wali said.
He added, ANP has also right to stage sit-in against rigging in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but the Party has respected the Public mandate and restraint from any unconstitutional and undemocratic step. Asfandyar also criticised the PML-Nawaz led government for not taking timely decision and delaying the investigation process regarding modal town incident. He viewed the making of political decision on time is eminent and it was necessary to probe all these allegations before the sit-ins. He said that the time does suit for marches and sit-in as both IDPs and flood victims are facing serious problems which needs due attention of the government as well opposition.
