The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has finalised all arrangements to hold a street protest in Peshawar on Friday (tomorrow), against the ongoing 'sit-ins', being staged by workers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek in federal capital Islamabad.
The plan was discussed during a meeting of the PML-N, held under its provincial president Pir Sabir Shah in chair, at the party provincial secretariat here on Wednesday. The party provincial general secretary Rahmat Salam Khattak, provincial secretary information Nasir Musazai, along with other provincial activists also attended the meeting. The meeting discussed the proposed protest rally against the ongoing sit-ins'.
According to protest scheduled, the meeting said that the PML-N workers will be taken out rally on Eidgah road and march to main trunk road to show streets power on September 19 (Friday) next, against the ongoing 'sit-ins' in Islamabad. For this purpose, the meeting added all arrangements have been finalised. The meeting further informed that a large number of workers would be participated in the scheduled protest.
Addressing on the occasion, the party provincial leaders said the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz would continue its struggle for fostering democracy in the country, and would foil any attempt to topple an elected government and prime minister. Those talking about creation of new Pakistan, they should recognise themselves in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and they should wait till next general elections, he asked.
PML-N provincial president, Pir Sabir Shah said that the party is taking steps for bringing improvement in organisational affairs, and end the stagnation, and the holding of protest rally is also part of these efforts, he added. He warned that if the stagnant position would not address, then it would cause great damages for the country.
