Unidentified armed robbers on Saturday took away millions of rupees from a private bank's branch in Sadder in the jurisdictions of Preedy police station however exact looted amount was yet to be accounted.
An official in the Preedy police station told Business Recorder that the incident occurred in the afternoon when a group of armed robbers barged into a private bank's branch located near Mobile Market in Saddar area, held the entire staff hostage at gunpoint and managed to take away millions of rupees. Meanwhile, the police have claimed to have apprehended the security guard of the bank and initiated investigations to ascertain the fact. An FIR was registered in the Preedy police station.
