Election tribunal heard the petition challenging the victory of Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah from PS-29 Khairpur in the general elections 2013. The petition was filed by Syed Ghous Ali Shah of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in which it was alleged that Qaim Ali Shah won the elections from the constituency by rigging the polls.
It should be noted that the petitioner's counsel did not question the CM about alleged rigging at all. CM Sindh also recorded his statements in the tribunal as well. Qaim Ali Shah's lawyer Farooq H Naek, while speaking with media, said the petition of the PML-N leader was based on lies.
