The obstinacy of LPG companies continues whereas Ogra investigative teams conduct continuous raids on LPG plants. Ogra has played an exemplary role by raiding the LPG plants on the basis of the black marketing performed by the marketing companies.
Chairman LPG Distributors Association Irfan khokhar said as of now LPG marketing companies have plundered an amount of 2.75 billion rupees from the poor consumer through black marketing. 26 days have passed but the poor populace is forced to purchase expensive gas. Though Eid is near, the homes of rickshaw and taxi drivers still present a desolate picture.
He said that as per the Ogra formula, the LPG price should not exceed Rs 100 per kg all over the country, but it is being sold in the market for Rs 175 per kg. Khokhar said LPG Distributors Association Pakistan vows to stand alongside Ogra and if LPG marketing companies do not reduce the prices then gas supply from Khyber to Karachi would be terminated. Irfan khokhar added that he is very thankful to PM Nawaz Sharif and Chairman Ogra Saeed khan to take strict action against black marketing of LPG mafia on the request of LPG Distributors Association.-PR
