Militants gunned down leader of the Qaumi Lashkar and injured his driver here on Sunday. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed the responsibility of the attack. Sources said that armed men opened fire on the vehicle of Gul Akbar, a leader of Qaumi Lashkar in Dara area of tehsil Salar Zai in Bajaur Agency.
As a result of firing the Qaumi Lashkar leader died on the spot while his driver Noudiyar sustained wounds was shifted to Agency Headquarters Hospital Khar for treatment in critical condition.
TTP spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid in telephonic conversation with media persons claimed the responsibility of the attack.
The political administration has registered a case against attackers and started investigation.
