Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday took notice of an incident in which an 80-year-old woman died of police torture. According to reports, the police raided a house in Salanwali area of the city to arrest a couple, who got married nine years ago, and started torture on the people of the house, leaving the old woman dead.
Following her death, the family members and other people of the area staged a demonstration protest against the incident and demanded action against the policemen. Reports also said that the police raided the house over a PML-N PMA's orders.
