Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Sunday met former President and Co-chairman Pakistan People's Party Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House, here on Sunday. During the meeting, they discussed the prevailing political situation.
Zardari urged all political leaders to show unity in order to deal with the challenges being faced by the country. All political parties should keep the national interests supreme, Zardari said, adding that solution of all problems lies in following constitution, Parliament and democratic thinking.
Chaudhry Shujaat said that he was raising all the demands and issues remaining within the constitution.
Talking to media after the meeting, the PML-Q leaders said that during the meeting many matters including prevailing political and economic situation came under discussion. They said Asif Ali Zardari was very much worried over the political and economic situation of the country like traders, businessmen, industrialists, workers, farmers, doctors, teachers and people belonging to every other segment of the society.
However, they said that the people should not worry, as the present rulers have to go after all.
They said the prevailing crisis in the country would be resolved soon.
About recent bitter statements of leaders of Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) and People's Party they said that the misunderstandings would be removed in a day and two. They said that no segment of the society was happy during the tenure of the present govt.
About recent statement of Hamza Shahbaz, they said that such things did not suit Hamza Shahbaz.
"We do not want to say anything but PML-N leaders (Sharif family) know how their sugar mills and business were functioning during the tenure of General Parvez Musharraf, where they used to meet and through whom they used to send messages," they added.
Pervaiz Elahi said he would celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with the flood-effected people, and offer sacrifice of animals there and distribute the meat among them while Shujaat will celebrate the Eid in the sit-in with Dr Tahirul Qadri.
PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari hosted a lunch at the Bilawal House for the PML-Q leaders.
