'Foolproof security to be ensured during Muharram'

Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Sohail Adeeb Bachani has said that the district administration will ensure more effective and comprehensive arrangements relating to foolproof security and civic issues for the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram. This he stated while presiding a meeting with officials, Ulemas and citizens of relevant institutions to review arrangements for Muharram and said that a peaceful environment and all necessary facilities will be provided to mourners.
He said that in this connection, police forces and personnel of law enforcement agencies will be deployed at sensitive places. The participants conveyed their complaints and reservations about the security and civic issues and called for ensuring uninterrupted supply of electricity from Maghrib prayers to midnight during Muharram. Besides, they called for resolving water supply and sewerage problems and covering open manholes, as well as ensuring cleanliness and proper lighting on the routes of mourning procession and venues of Majalis.
