A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Virtual University of Pakistan and University of Sargodha (UoS). Through this memorandum, the two institutions will offer joint degree programmes in the field of education and research. Students of UoS would get quality education by the modern means of communication.
According to the spokesperson of the VU, the university will provide its international quality academic contents to UoS. VU will also offer its air time to UoS for its academic purposes. Virtual University will provide its Learning Management System, Examination System and international quality academic contents to UoS. Apart from the faculty exchange programme, this linkage provides collaboration options such as joint course development and teachers training programmes.
On this occasion, Dr Naveed A Malik, Rector VU, said the Virtual University had always been working on judicious and economic use of resources in the greater national interest in the country through innovative use of technology. UoS VC Professor Dr Akram Chauhdry admired the Virtual University being leaders in education technology and stated that MoU would be mutually beneficial in promoting higher quality education in the country.
