In order to bring more improvement in close contact with the general public, ensure co-ordinated efforts against crimes and in-time action for redressal of public complaints all Additional IGPs, DIGs, DPOs and SDPOs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been allotted special official mobile numbers.
It may be recalled that these official mobile numbers in serial have been allocated for the above designated posts. In case of transfer of any police officer, posted on these designated post, the mobile number will be automatically transferred to the newly incumbent officer.
These special numbers will remain open round the clock. The step has been taken to effectively bridge the gap between public and police for redressal of their complaints and to launch co-ordinated efforts to prevent any crime. It is hoped that this step will go a long way in ensuring peace and security in the society. These numbers will be used only for official purpose.
It is worth mentioning here that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have taken a number of steps for better co-ordination between public and police for solution of public complaints and to establish a crime free society. It has also developed a system to receive complaint from the public through SMS and to make early co-ordinated efforts for its solution.
