Patron-in-chief of the Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday withdrew the show-cause notices served on Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Provincial Minister for Prisons Manzoor Wassan over allegedly leaking of the findings of an investigation into Thar famine to media.
PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari last year had tasked Sindh Minister for Prisons Manzoor Wassan to hold an inquiry into the famine-like situation in Tharparkar and subsequent deaths of children so as to fix responsibility.
