Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday claimed that the party had a concrete proof in which the government had agreed to include intelligence agency's officials in the judicial commission (JC) for holding probe into election fraud.
Talking to journalists outside his Bani Gala residence, he said the government has a track record of taking U-turns on different agreements and it backtracked from what was agreed during talks with PTI negotiating team in aftermath of ongoing anti-government sit-ins.
He reiterated the sit-ins would continue till resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. "We're not going to call off the sit-in. We've given one more chance to the government for holding probe into election fraud or else we'll announce our future line of action after November 30', he declared.
He insisted that sit-in will continue to ensure free, fair and an impartial probe into 2013 general election's rigging. According to Imran, once the sit-ins are called off, the government will not hold any probe as it has been making all out efforts to fizzle out the protest. He said that the PTI had not taken any U-turn, it is the government which backtracked as it had agreed to include Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI) officials in the judicial team, probing into election fraud.
The Prime Minister begged Chief of Army Staff to play the role of a negotiator but later backtracked on the floor of National Assembly. "If you could recall the ISPR (Inter Services Public Relations) issued a statement, saying the CoAS met PTI chairman on the request of government", he added.
He said the government had undertaken numerous development projects across only in advertisements, adding they should go to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to take stock of what our government is doing for the uplift of the province. "I am dead sure that PTI would emerge as the largest winning party in KP in case of new elections", he added.
