The police on Monday claimed to have arrested around 44 alleged criminals in different targeted raids and encounters conducted at various parts of the metropolis during last 24 hours. According to police, they have conducted some 78 targeted raids and two encounters as part of ongoing Karachi operation that led the arrests of 99 alleged criminals involved in different criminal activities.
During the operation, police arrested some 19 criminals under Arms Act. Nine were arrested under Narcotics Act, two absconders, two terrorists, and some 12 others involved in criminal activities were also arrested during the said time period. Police further claimed to have recovered 22 hand guns, and 966 kilo-grams Hashish from their possession.
