The city police on Monday claimed to have arrested around 60 alleged criminals in different targeted raids and encounters conducted at various parts of the metropolis during last 24 hours. Police said that their 82 raids and one encounter carried out as a part of Karachi operation led to the arrests of 60 criminals who were involved in various criminal activities.
During the operations, police arrested 18 criminals under Arms Act, 14 were arrested under Narcotics Act, four absconders/proclaimed offenders, one terrorist, and some 23 others involved in criminal activities were also arrested during the said time period. The police further said that they have recovered 20 hand guns; one hand grenade, 21 gram heroin, 3,885 gram, hashish and 11 bottles of liquor from the possession of the arrested criminals.
