The rupee posted fresh gains against the dollar and euro on the money market on Saturday in the process of trading, dealers said. The rupee appreciated by 10-paisa in relation to the dollar for buying and selling at Rs 101.10 and Rs 101.30 respectively. It also picked up 50-paisa versus the euro for buying and selling at Rs 116.75 and Rs 117.00, they said.
OPEN MARKET RATES: At the week-end, the US dollar and the euro gained a little ground against the Swiss franc, a day after the Swiss National Bank shocked markets by scrapping a currency cap, while the dollar hit new multi-year highs against the euro on expected European Central Bank easing. The euro suffered its biggest-ever one-day fall against the franc on Thursday, dropping more than 18 percent, after the SNB stunned markets by scrapping its three-year-old pledge to limit the franc's value to 1.20 per euro.

Open Market Rates: Open Market Rates For Dollar on Saturday.
RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee maintained downward move and was further declined by five-paisa in relation to the greenback on the local currency market on Saturday.
According to the currency dealers, the dollar was opened on a healthy note and registered gain following buyers' interest. At close of trading, the dollar was ended at Rs 101.30 and Rs 101.55 as its buying and selling rate against Rs 101.25 and Rs 101.50 of Friday, respectively, the dealers said.
On the contrary, the rupee recovered some of its earlier loss and was improved against the pound sterling. The pound's buying and selling rates were declined from overnight closing of Rs 153.00 and Rs 153.25 to Rs 153.10 and Rs 153.35, respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee gained strength against the dollar on the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Saturday.
The dollar opened at Rs 100.75 (buying) and Rs 101 (selling) against last rate of Rs 101 (buying) and Rs 101.25 (selling). It did not observe further change in the second session and closed at Rs 100.75 (buying) and Rs 101 (selling).
Pound Sterling opened at Rs 152 (buying) and Rs 153 (selling) against same overnight value. It did not observe further change in the evening session and closed at Rs 152 (buying) and Rs 153 (selling).
