Search operation in KP 137 held, huge quantity of arms seized

During the ongoing search operation throughout the KP province against criminals and anti-social elements, police have arrested 137 suspects and recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition. 85 persons were held for illegal use of loudspeaker and police seized 93 loudspeakers from across the province. Similarly, during the operation 622 houses and 238 hotels were also checked and 14 cases were registered against the violators.
Furthermore, during snap checking on 134 check points, 301 suspects were held and recovered 11 arms of different kind and 99 cartridges of different bore. During action against illegal Afghans a total of 48 persons were detained on violation and 30 cases were registered against them. The police also conducted security inspections of 1,159 educational institution and other institutions, which were advised to further beef up their security arrangements.
