A division bench of the Lahore High Court here on Friday disposed of a petition challenging report of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in murder case of Haq Nawaz a worker of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI). Ata Muhammad, brother of Haq Nawaz submitted that State Minister Abid Sher Ali, former provincial law minister Rana Sanaullah, Faisalabad DCO Noorul Amin Mengal and many other leaders of PML-N were nominated in the FIR.
He contended that their names were even not discussed in the JIT report being influential persons. He said the JIT violated the law by not investigating the nominated suspects.
