LHWs to get salaries of December

The Punjab government has released salaries of lady health workers up to November 2014, whereas salary of December will also be released within a week, Advisor on Health Kh Salman Rafique said. Additional Director General Health Integrated Mother & Child Health Programme Dr Ijaz Shaikh said that federal government provide funds for the salaries of LHWs, however, provincial government does bridge financing for early payment of salaries and avoiding delay.
He further said that salaries of LHWs of 36 districts are paid through NBP branches. He said the fault in computer system caused delay in payment of salaries, however, now salaries have been released.
