Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Sunday held separate meetings with Chief of Staff of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces and other military officials and discussed with them bilateral defence ties. During the meetings held with the UAE's top military officials on the occasion of COAS General Raheel Sharif's visit to International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Matters pertaining to security co-operation and collaboration in regional security also came under discussion.
The COAS visited stalls of various countries including China, Russia, UAE and Pakistan.
The UAE leadership appreciated Pakistan Army's achievements in the fight against terrorism, specially the operation Zarb-e-Azb and showed keen interest in enhancing training exchanges with Pakistan Army.
