A group of Israeli private buyers has issued international tenders to purchase up to 90,000 tonnes of corn and 25,000 tonnes of feed wheat, both of optional origin, European traders said on Monday. The tenders close on Wednesday, February 25, they said.
If based on European Union or Black Sea supplies, corn shipment was sought between Apr. 25 to May 15 for 35,000 tonnes and between May 20 and June 10 for 55,000 tonnes, they said. Wheat shipment was sought between April 1 and 20 if based on European Union or Black Sea supplies, they said. In the last reported corn tender from Israel on January 13, a group of private buyers purchased about 100,000 tonnes of optional-origin corn likely to be sourced from Ukraine after seeking offers for the same volume. Chicago corn futures fell for a second session on Monday as record global supplies continue to pressure the market.
