First Annual General Meeting of Pakistan Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PAJCCI) was held today at KCCI. The meeting was attended by members from across the Pakistan and delegation of Afghanistan led by Al-Haj Raheemuddin was also present at the meeting.
Prior to formally initiating the meeting, directors and members extended heartfelt condolence on the sad demises of Usman Bashir Bilour Vice President PAJCCI, mother and nephew of Zubair Motiwala President PAJCCI and father of Faiza Nasir, Secretary General. They also prayed for the speedy recovery of Motiwala from his health issues. The Chief Patron of PAJCCI, Siraj Kassam Teli Chairman BMG and former President KCCI was highly acknowledged for his support throughout without which the establishment and success of this Chamber was impossible. The forum also acknowledged visionary leadership of Zubair Motiwala and Khan Jan Alokozai during the span of 3 years and upon request of A.Q. Khalil they were given standing ovation.
The meeting was chaired by Jawaid Bilwani whereby PAJCCI's brief report of achievement was presented and later members of the managing committee were declared. The new managing committee comprises of Zubair Motiwala, A.Q. Khalil, Junaid Makda, Haji Hameedullah, Zia Sarhadi, Abdul Basit, Qazi Zahid Hussain, Zahidullah Shinwari, Faiz Muhammad, Imran Khan and Akbar Khan.
The retiring members included Engr. Daroo Khan, Ghulam Sarwar Mohmand, Haji Abdul Quyyum Kakar, Jawaid Bilwani and Talat Mahmood. The office bearers for 2014-15 were unanimously chosen by the managing committee as Zubair Motiwala for the President, Zahidullah Shinwari as Senior Vice President and Haji Hameedullah as Vice President. Zahidullah Shinwari chaired rest of the meeting as Acting President and ensured complete participation in the endeavours of PAJCCI. Iftekhar Vohra, President KCCI also appreciated role of PAJCCI and ensured his support to PAJCCI in all the future initiatives. During the meeting, auditor was appointed; annual report and audited accounts were also adopted.-PR
